More Bamfords

I hope you all don't tire of me posting shop work. My little operation started out with Listeroids and then CS Listers became the norm but for the last couple years it's been mostly Bamfords along with a few model VA Listers. I haven't done much to steer it toward Bamford but I did invest in parts I cannot effectively make in house. It's still a drawn out process compared to Listers where I pull every part off the shelf. This is the 3rd Bamford since last fall a 5HP model Z2 factory radiator engine.

That looks like a really nice job you did there on that one.. I enjoy seeing your engine work.
Bamfords,Listeroids and original CS engines.. As long as it keeps payin the bills, and you still enjoy doin them, it is a good type of busy to be..
My guess is the Bamfords are the biggest pain in the A&& to do because of lack of parts and custom machine work ?? Just a guess. The qaulity on those bamford flywheels look to be top notch compared to a listeroid wheel.. Do they look that nice up close as they are in the pics?

The Bamfords deal started out with one I bought in pieces at George Helmuths auction 15-20 years ago. We made every part needed to put it back in running condition and take it to a few engine shows where the Amish found out about my operation and started sending me work. After a few went through the shop making all those parts by hand got old so I had many of them reproduced. Now I have the great bulk of all known Bamfords Z series parts on my shelves. The casting quality and machine work is excellent and believe it or not overall they are much heavier construction than a CS Lister.

I've always been a big fan of your Bamfords with their enclosed pushrods and sturdy design. One of the all time great slow speed diesels. It's very impressive that you've brought so many back to life, and i have no doubt you are greatly appreciated by your clients!
Best Wishes,
Bruce
