What engine have I got

How do I find out what my engine is. See pictures please

From the small parts of the engine I can see, I would say you have a TX engine.

There should be a maker's plate on it somewhere - although it could be a challenge finding it, let alone photographing it... But if you can find its serial number, we can give you a definitive answer (as well as its age & rating)

No sign of numbers or plate anywhere accessible! However see other question regarding starting as on "tug" with a tow and started immediately. So looking at starter and earthing before strip down

Any suggestions as to where the engine plate might be located please?
