Anyone tell me what this attachment is?
1953 CS Lister 3.5hp, 1938? Bamford SD1 3.5hp, 1962 Fordson Super Dexta, 1969 International 434.

It's part of start-o-matic control system. That particular part is a 24V solenoid that operates the compression release and has linkage to the injector pump.
Does the engine have heavy solid flywheels? One flywheel would have two 2 grooves for generator belts.

Yes it does have the solid grooved wheel for the belts. I assumed it was something to do with decompression, but never having seen a startomatic in the flesh I wasn't sure.
Saw it for sale locally online, but unfortunately it looks like its in fairly bad shape. Just from looking at the photos online its, missing injection pump, push rods, cam end cover and looks quite rusty on the base. I'm still almost tempted.
