Bigger engine to replace st3 engine
« on: February 10, 2024, 07:34:28 AM »
Hello, I have a drilling rig with a st3 engine,  after some upgrades on the drilling rig its starting to be underpowered, I think i need 10-15 hp more atleast, anyone on here that can recommend a engine, mind you it needs to be reverse rotation like st3,   I would prefer a aircooled lister, but I dont know if lister made bigger engines.

You could replace your ST3 with either an TS3  or TR3. They will be of similar physical size to the ST. The rotation is anti clockwise when looking at the flywheel and they are both air cooled. Don't know what speed you operate at but at 2500 rpm the TS will give around an extra 10hp, and the TR around another 14 - 15hp

I am unfamiliar with the air cooled Lister engines. Can the OP provide a pic? Might be interesting to see the setup.
