Is it a 2 part paint that requires an activator/hardener? I have used urethane paint a couple of times and it comes like that but with the hardener in a second can. When added together it ends up being a gallon. Sounds like they may have forgotten to send you the activator.

I just looked up the induron numbers on the can. Looks like the A4 number is the base and the Q4 number is the activator. Without the activator it won't cure.

Even with the activator it's short. For the price I paid I want to freaking gallon it's what I ordered is what I want.. .68 paint 0.20 activator still less than a gallon. It ain't about semantics it's about giving the customer what he wants what he ordered what he paid for

Looks like they make quality paints.. They may be selling it as a ready to spray gallon. It says .68 gallon on the label.

Looks like there is about 3 quarts in that can.? Add another Quart of activator and it is supposed to be a gallon.. According to there website TDS , a gallon of this paint weighs 12.7 lbs. Weigh it up do the math and see if they shorted by how much..

This all assumes I am even looking at the right paint. They got a different (screwy) way of identifying their paint lines and systems.. But it looks nice.

I just received this email

Hi Chris,

Thank you for contacting us! Our Induron product is a two-part component consisting of Part A (the paint) and Part B (the catalyst). The catalyst is one quart. When you combine both components, they yield one gallon of mixed solution. Once mixed, it typically dries within approximately two hours. It's advisable to work swiftly to ensure optimal application. I've attached the TDS for more additional information. Have you added and mixed both components together?

Best regards,
Erica

Very interesting. Does seem to have a lot in common with a CS twin. I bet you made some noise when that slide hammer bit you. That shit hurts.

Hi Bent Trigger, very interested in your project. Looks like you are making good progress. If you lost a little skin while doing it don`t worry, it grows back and next time you will be more careful. I have found that a large glass of red wine after work very quickly replaces the blood lost during the day!
Have you confirmed that this has a DC generator head? I`d love to know a bit more about it because I have an early DC lighting plant that I would like to get going for historical reasons. Mine is missing the control panel and I`d like to build it a replacement.

Hi Bob, no idea what the power this generator puts out I'll find out eventually. I haven't been able to get to that yet. Because the inside of this unit is so much burnt on oil and fuel residue I'm probably going to end up pulling the whole thing apart crank and all so that I can get it into my cleaning tank and make it all as clean as I can, I mean there's also the inspection side of it. I doubt if this thing has any real problems other than the mechanic. More to follow. Chris

Hi Chris, Don`t worry about the skill level of the mechanic, looks like he is getting lots of on the job training.
The gunk in the bottom of the engine is probably the result of non detergent oil which allowed dirt and debris to sediment out. Modern detergent oils keep this stuff in suspension so that it can be removed by an oil filter.
Good luck with the cleaning.

Talked to a Magneto Guy here in the States and he said he has fixed these ML Mags. So he said to just clean and test it first and we can move from there. So I pulled it off the machine(so nervous) and Tested it to the mag book I have. And we are WINNING!!!

:(So I pulled the upper crank bearing and cam cover to check the timing marks. All looks ok.
Now debating a full disassemble and clean.
To pull the cam you have to unpin the oil eccentric and both the intake and exhaust cam lobes. I'm not sure how to drive the holding pins out and the amount of pressure to reinstall them. Or the torque for the piston rod caps. I would like to scrub all the parts back to new but am a little Leary of a full disassembly

Also the gaskets are super thin and I'd like to know where to get more and what it's called. All help is appreciated.
