Net worth of a New Metro 6/1 ?
« on: August 18, 2023, 06:17:27 PM »
Please throw your opinions here, of what a brand new Metro 6/1 (partly apart) would possibly be worth today......?
Looks unmolested and preserved well. Light weight spoke flywheels
TIA

Here in the Midwest its an extremely fickle market. I have seen new ones in crate sell for $500. I have seen used ones advertised for $3000 and sold, but I don't for how much. Last I knew a new one could be purchased for around $2600.
If its all there, unused and not rusted up AND you want a Listeroid probably $1500 max give or take? If you looking for a bargain to flip quickly then $600- 750 and expect a long wait for a buyer at $1000, interest in Listeroids is very small group of people.

Thats a decent buy for both of you want a Listeroid generator plant. However as I said if your thinking about flipping them be prepared for a long alwait and slim profit.

You might be right. The interest group is small for sure. Right now I'm more of a collector than a seller. There are a number of engine
shows in the region and I've only ever seen one 6-1 one time. There is however plenty of money based on the collections I see, and prices posted on what's for sale. It's possible someone would want a Listeroid when the time comes to sell them. They are rare in this area.

Then you probably should buy it for that kind of money. Build yourself another genset.
I  don't even have any singles here right now but do have a 6/1 Lister coming tomorrow.
