A squeak has developed
« on: February 21, 2024, 09:25:20 PM »
So, I've been really happy with how she's running lately, but now (at about 75 hours since oil change) I hear a weird squeak.
Probably something off balance from the new alternator set up, but- what am I looking at here?

Well, never mind I guess. I was poking around and decided that the squeak was coming from the loose flywheel. The jib key just wasn't doing its job. Luckily, I had another one and I swapped them out and I seem to be good for right now. Is that an indication of some bad balancing?

Mine sounds like that from time to time. In my case, a spray of belt dressing quiets it right down.
