Engine Identification
« on: May 05, 2023, 10:04:15 AM »
Hi All,
I have a seized single cylinder Lister Diesel Engine. The plate on the engine states Service Exchange Engine, Number 28YLD114.
I think that the engine is a LD1 but not sure.
Can anyone tell me what the engine is.
What do the  numbers and letters mean and what year was the engine built

At a guess I would say it's a 1964 LD1 engine.  The only thing that is a little odd is the letter Y in the number.
