Big end torque settings
« on: January 15, 2023, 06:31:22 AM »
Hi again

I looked for the torque settings for the big end nuts but there doesn't seem to be any info about it. I guess it's a matter of getting it tight enough so that the split pin fits? Does anyone have any comments on the right way to do it?

Thanks

I think there is a torque spec in a manual somewhere but I fitted my big ends up today and it is just as you said, tighten very tight and the split pin fits. I marked my rod, cap and nuts so they all went back the same way. I had to use a pipe on abar to undo the big end nuts so did the same doing them up.
