Hello folks!

Is there a fix for rocking/jerking governor?

Here is a video that i took: https://youtu.be/c-YInSJNz2w

What could be causing this? Something to do with weights maybe?

Thanks!

Two things come to mind, one being an irregularaty in the ring on the camshaft where the weight levers run. Its supposed to have a pin in it that prevents it from rotating but possible the pin wore out or fell out. Also could be the weights hitting the lifter bushing closest to the gear. Either can be checked out by removing the crankcase door and shining a light up there while turning the engine
Collector and horder of about anything diesel

Thanks for your input!

This makes totally sense. I'll have to take a look.
