You never know? I am trying to keep freight out of it but that might not be possible. I am restoring a 1951 ford flathead that came off my dad's sawmill. So far it has nothing to do!

he could use a "hoof" and "pierce" belt drive governor?

not sure how tight they can regulate to, but they are common on old farm equipment engines and can be found on ebay.
