38ac,
You never know? I am trying to keep freight out of it but that might not be possible. I am restoring a 1951 ford flathead that came off my dad's sawmill. So far it has nothing to do!

he could use a "hoof" and "pierce" belt drive governor?

not sure how tight they can regulate to, but they are common on old farm equipment engines and can be found on ebay.

Sorry Dave, haven't been on the page for a few days, busy with harvest. I have a new 15KW ST that appears to be well made. I also have a  good quality 3 phase head that I bought to run my shop and that project got shelved. I thinknits is 25 KW? its still in tbe crate. I'll check it out later today and have the specs for you.

Been thinking it over and it might not work out in the long run. I have many generators sitting around already. Mobile Bob was right on the governor! Part of my dream was charging Teslas with dead batteries. Getting rid if the non detergent oil is a dirty job!
