Automann flea market find.
« on: September 29, 2022, 02:44:55 PM »
Ran across this 8/1 Automann listeroid at a local flea market with trucks. Runs fine, only needs cooling and a ST generator head.  Never heard of an AutoMann but appears to be identical to my 8/1 Powerline Listeroid.

Hi Glassblower, that looks like a fairly standard Lister CS clone but the trolley it is sitting on is a beauty. I wonder who made it and how long it took/cost.

The Automanns were imported by the Amish. There were quite a few in the Aurthor Ill community and have seen them in Pa. ans here in Ohio. I have had both twins and  singles here for rebuilds. What I have seen have above average casting quality and quality of parts but as with any other India engine they sure are not jewels.

Yes, the base is a beast and very old. Probably held something else at one time.
