12.5KVA 1/3PH 1800RPM Military (Onan/Cummins) Generator Heads Available

wheelMA1:
I know they are not necessarily Lister related, but as they include flywheels (which could accept a belt drive in a somewhat unconventional way) perhaps they are of use to someone on these boards.

I have (5) New in Box military generator heads available. They are rated 12.5KVA (I also have a smaller one, same design, but for the smaller military platform at 6.25KVA). See photos. They are still in the crate, 12 wire heads. $1,200/ea plus freight to your location. These were $4400 new to Uncle Sam in large volume purchases.

1800RPM operation. In the military application (MEP-803A) they are reconfigurable to 120V 1PH, 240V 1PH, and 120/208 3PH.

Is there exciter and/or regulator equipment required for these?
Been looking for a 3ph head to power the shop machines during outage.
Where are you located?

wheelMA1:
There is a field exciter included in the genhead on this equipment. In the military machines they tie back to a voltage regulator. This genhead is complete with the 12 wire output, and the 2 field exciting wires. This is a VERY high quality brushless head. I service and resell military diesel generators, and came into a quantity of these new in box. Photos below are of the field exciter, as well as the 'black magic' area on the military gensets.

wheelMA1:
Also I am located in Massachusetts, but can ship anywhere a common carrier goes. I sell the military gensets all over the US and Canada.

wheelMA1:
And I will add further, I know of a voltage regulator that will work with this head (actually an updated civilian equivalent to what the put in the military machines) that can be connected to produce 3PH if you wanted to wire it up as such. I reached out to the builder (a friend of mine here in MA) and this was his exact response:

"Yes my VR would work for that application.  It just needs to be hooked up to N and one of 3 phase legs to get its 120 volts AC to operate.
The setup would need a small circuit so the gen head can be flashed after starting the engine.  Would be a pushbutton ,  a resistor and a diode."

Happy to discuss further if interested. The actual VR can be seen here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/184550789499?hash=item2af815917b:g:Sd0AAOSwbNte96Ea&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoOcFhR89NJ9b5Ec8hOrGGYec84Eh9B0xZbOWTQs2Qpvt4btUpRBxMdS31I8NfF4c3e3lsmpmjUjDKBY5d0d9kGfDtiOgJhCozUECkR3b7cBl9SKJ%2BOXAG%2Fvu%2BwLPZPnKF92bwRuvD7u3xw%2B22aBbjGQZdxnvVDtHuvROOV6aQ6bIr2P5ONrR%2FkJ%2Flb3QjS6t%2B2RhbF28EJlRvYxaYHObNG8%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR_jwxI3jYA
