Cold winter here and things are going slowly.

A few more bits to the German kart. 4 anti vibration blocks for the right weight, and made fancy spacers to level it, with a cross beam to make it solid.

Also buyed a new toy for tractor at village, an off-set disk harrow.

Trolley almost done, and the German is already seated on the kart... But silent blocks aint work, because engine has 300+ kgs and rubber is feeling the weight and twisting back to front the axcell. And it will be dangerous.

Therefore, ill change silent blocks for hard wood, in order to give it solid state.

Buyed new toy, a pallet truck. 2nd hand almost new, a good deal.

Hi VP,
Happy New Year to you. Its been a while since Ive logged in because Ive been busy restoring a 3hp Buzacott then have been doing some of the many lawn mowers I have in our collection.
While your feeling the cold and snow we are under heat wave conditions with high humidity which I cant cope with too well. So half days of play then some reading up on some things of interest. WE are ab out to hook the caravan up and start doing a lot of kilometers again and see more of our country.
Love your rotary hoe and pallet truck. Many years back I woked sellin g tyres and wheels for forklifts and we would remake the poly urethane tyres by bonding new poly onto the wheels.
Hope the wooden blocks solve the rocking of your trolley so please keep us informed.

Life goes on... with cardiologist making of me a test-tube for pils. Now side effects are skin rush. Damn!!!

Still kicking on engines. Got to start serching some rust iron... again.

The German got a "decent" kart, almost done, but got to put it solid wood replacing the anti vibration blocks. It doesnt worked.

Restore all exaust piping of it at village with the high debit propane torch. Now cut some portion and join it to all fitings. Give it a run and its low noisy.

Fabricating handle to pull it.

Hi VP, very glad to have you back. Your work just gets better every time, well done.
Not a big fan of Doctors, on two occasions they have prescribed medications that put me in hospital. Please get yourself an up to date copy of Mims. This is the medical practitioners handbook and lists all the medications currently available along with their side effects and how they interact with other medications. Personally, despite having had a heart attack, I take no medications at all. I take a couple of large glasses of red wine every evening, I`ll probably die from liver failure.
Hope you feel better soon, good luck with the vintage engine hunt.

A few more tweaks in the German.

Wrap heat resistant band to exaust pipe (Damn, at midlle of operation I realised band is fiber glass: no gloves, no mask, no goggles, and wearing shirt and shorts). do you need any picture??

Im wondering to take out band and let it metal bar.

Retailer sell me 15cm wide (min) of 0,5m band width of exhaust gasket. Damn, only to take a square of 10x10cm.

G`Day VP, I would leave the wrapping on the exhaust pipe. Doing so will increase the temperature in the pipe and reduce the tendency for soot deposits to form and clog the pipe.
I completely understand your horror at discovering that the insulation material is fiberglass, very nasty stuff to deal with using the correct protective equipment. Without it you would have been in a whole new world of discomfort. I hope that the itching and rash has gone away, I found that a very hot shower will remove most of it.
Not surprised that the supplier sold you a very large sheet of gasket material, probably been sat on his shelf for years. I have found smaller quantities for sale on Ebay but they are not cheap.

Things are going up.

Manage to bought break line (thanks Bob for the tip) and its easy to bend. Its doing a very nice work.

Im finishing the German to take it to showoff at village next July. Want also to show the petrol Bernard of my mother, now I reclaim the trolly and gave it a good TLC.

Im saving also return line from IP to tank. I think it will be fancy. Hope!

Welcome back VP glad to hear your on the mend. When I fit those banjo fittings I soft solder them but this is under gravity fed petrol engines. Look forward to seeing the German on display in July and to see what you find next to play with.

Thanks for your kind words.

Saved another pipe from scrap pile - with patience off course - the IP return pipe.

Both pipes are painted, and managed to make a T to join both return lines to one to go to tank.

Well done VP, that should do the job on the return line. Make sure you remove as much flux as possible, nasty corrosive stuff, very bad for fuel tanks, lines and injectors.
