15 years ago I built up a stand by generator set with a 1115 Changfa and a 15KW ST head fron Georgia Generator. Probably has 300 hours on it now as our power rarely goes out but when it does it is out for a while. Last time was 5 days. Monday a Derecho blew through here and power has been out since and the set has been powering the old farm house same as normal. AC on, cooking, lights, laundry, everything. Fueled the set last night and just fueled again exactly 12 hours apart. 3 1/2 gallons. 1.16 quarts per hour. Im sure not going to complain about that when the neighbor is running a 10KW gas screamer at almost a gallon per hour. Do the math on that, $5 gas x 1 per hour x 24 hours per day. dang expensive comfort if you ask me.
Only repairs I have had is the ST bridge rectifier went bad in first hour of operation. Replaced it with a 5010 bridge diode and heat sinked it to the box.
As an aside we sure are seeing who has no buisiness living out in the country. The crying on social media is unbearable.
