 Well thats a new one on me! You have an 8/1 with the RPM raised to 900RPM and the rating raised to 9 HP.
You serial. number breaks down to this
engine number 174
model.                  8/1
R.                          Factory radiator
8 added to 1950 is 1958 production.

Great to hear what the serial number comes down to; no wonder I did not find any lister CS with 9.5hp; this is great, I do need some parts to get it running; but now knowing that it is a 8/1; I will start the internet search for the missing parts.
