I spotted a cool “Barnfind “ it’s a 1940s original JP3 generator almost complete the huge old meter board etc... It was rescued from the dump about 20 years ago and had been in a shed unused for about 20 years before that ....

Clean it up a bit, squirt some oil in the cylinders, make sure it rotates freely.
Give it some fuel and bleed it. Maybe it will start!
A few years back, I was able to rescue an abandoned SR2 gen set from a small island near here.
It was all oily and had been run with a broken exhaust pipe. DIRTY BEAST!
Had to partially assemble it to transport in a small tin boat.
It was an adventure.
I eventually gave it to a LEF member on the other side of the country.
I believe he put it back into service.
That JP3 and all of it's gear would be fairly rare.
