Running a well pump with a Listeroid
« on: August 17, 2006, 03:20:40 AM »
Hello all,

I finally got all the components together for my water system. My system consists of a 1500 gal tank of water pumped to 2 - 3000 gal tanks that gravity feed to the house. I have a 300' head between the tanks and am running power 500' from the our home site to the lower tank. In the lower tank I have a Grundfos SQFlex pump that delivers 5 gpm to the upper tanks. The system includes a relay to turn on the water when need for the upper tanks.

I chose the Grudfos pump for its efficient operation. I load test the system with a watts up meter and the whole system, including indicator light, only draws 500W when running on my Lister 6/1 st5 generator.
