The only pic I've ever seen that might top this is from the glory days of front engine dragsters.  A photographer was using a motor winder at about the 50 foot line when this one top fuel dragster (a hemi, I think, but may well be wrong) launched hard with a little too much nitro in the mix and blew the crankshaft and pistons onto the track.  He got a photo at the instant of impact...

One of my clients is the Gardner Stone car dealership. He likes turbines. I ALWAYS have a look in the back shop when I'm around.

I think he's gonna need more than a can of JB Weld to fix that iron.  Interesting what some folks wil waste a lot of time and money on.

What a bad joke that you can burn oceans of fuel in a race car or tractor pull, but try to heat and power your home with a 6hp diesel and the EPA hassles you.  I guess the difference is that NASCAR hires lobbyists.
