Climate Change is a hoax by lefties to stop capitalism.

Half Right.

It's a Hoax perpetuated by big biz to make obscene profits and championed by useful idiot lefties that need  a religion like cause cause to believe in. Thankfully all but died in the arse now China dlu has come along and wiped out economies which this globull whinging bullshit fed off.

Few die hard zealots of the Congregation left that will still believe in it even when it is revealed what a hoax it was but some will still tell you smoking doesen't hurt you.

The Globull warming BS kept changing when their predictions kept proving wrong time and time again so was eventually changed to include any weather event including the change of seasons.
Weather it was bushfires, 20 Ft of snow, or the warmest or coolest day in a week, was all blamed on weather change.
Now that has run it's course and people have woken up to it, lets see how long the China Flu Hysteria lasts?

Got to admit, as annoying and insulting to the intelligence the Climate crap BS was, the china Flu hysteria takes things to a whole new level n every category.

Our rain predictions were similar. No rain predicted for months.  A huge chunk of the eastern seaboard then got torrential Rain that took Sydney Dams that the globull whining " experts " said would never be full again from low 40% capacity to over 80% capacity in under a week and caused flooding the likes of which had not been seen for Decades.  We have in the following months had more flooding rains that have taken many dams to over flowing.  We are certainly heading into this summer in an infinitely better position than we were last year.
In some ways, the fires weren't nearly as bad as the flooding we had. Then came the China Pox and the fires looked like a walk in the park in comparison.

They have just finished a Big enquiry into the bushfires here and the conclusion has been what everyone with a brain already knew.... That of course excludes all the Green religion followers of course.
We need to make sure there is controlled fuel reduction burns in the winter to make sure the fuel load is not allowed to build up to the stupid levels the green whingers paranoia allowed, Maintain fire trails instead of letting them over grow, allow land holders to clear their properties and push the bush back away from homes and Buildings  ( ask Bob here about that... or maybe not!)  and basically throw out all the Bullshit ideas the green washed morons forced on everyone which was the root cause of the fires being so bad and go back to what was learned back before European settlement  that the natives Knew before we even got here!

Mate of mine cleared a lot of his land back from the buildings ( illegally) and when the fires came though his area,  His property was untouched.  The fire services in fact made his place a kind of a base as they knew they could protect it. Other homes along the road they didn't even try because they knew there was nothing they could do because they had followed the idiotic rules and had bush right up to the buildings. No one is going to make the same mistakes again and certainly no one is going to try and enforce these moronic greenwashed ideals.

Been on the news his week that there has been a lot of controlled burns around Sydney. How Fking ironic so much of it they have started with has been around the wealthy areas that somehow escaped the firestorms of last summer. Guess these people whom have a high concentration of green cult followers that bitched about their homes being covered in pink fire retardant last summer have woken up now.

I got Dads genny out today and gave it a once over in preparation for summer. Fk all left to burn where he is, most of the area got wiped out last summer in the fires. Only takes one unburnt patch to go up to take the power out though.   Got the thing going and ran out the fuel that was in it and put in fresh.  Put it in the Laundry so it's easy to get at. He can in fact leave it there, open the back door and close the one into the house and be fine.

We have been pushing down and Dropping trees all week thinning them out around the place and burning them.  Got the landscape rake on the tractor the last 2 Days and have been dragging all around gathering up all the sticks and leaves and getting rid of all that too and giving the grass a chance to grow which is much less of a fire a Hazard and easier to run the slasher over and maintain.

The power co came round a couple of months back and took down a tree in Dads place and were dropping trees like Eccys at a dance rave party to make sure their poles and wires were not in the firing line like last summer. Talking to the guy that came from the power co, they lost 12,000 poles just in Dads greater area.  A number hard to get ones head around but nothing in comparison to the 180K poles he reckoned the company lost in total . My first thought was where the hell do you get that many poles from in the first place?

People here now just don't give a rats about council or gubbermint rules against clearing their land. They have seen what all the Green do gooders BS has amounted to.  The property loss is one thing, the environmental disaster is another. Wildlife can escape a low order fire, what we had wiped out untold habitats in the raging firestorms that nothing could escape. They just did a study round Dads area and couldn't find any wildlife other than Birds in a 50 sq KM area.  One place that was known for Koalas, they couldn't find any in a 100Km's .
Absolute disaster caused by these green washed fktards.

Dads place has turned into bit of a wild life sanctuary.
He feeds the Birds and since the fire there have been flocks of them like never before all looking for a feed where there is nothing left for miles.  His green grass and that of the properties immediately around him has been the only feed around for miles and the wallabies, Rabbits and other animals have been corralled into the 100 or so acres of Dad and his neighbours.  Dad has put out all sorts of containers he keeps filled with water and even though there is plenty about now in the Dams and creeks, There wasn't before and the wildlife has learnt where to come for a clean drink and a bit of feed. Can't go down the paddocks at any time without seeing some wild life ( no Koalas unfortunately) or having it come to you.  The birds know the sound of the tractors and will come round knowing you are disturbing the ground and unveiling the various bugs they feed on.  Even the wallabies and Kangas will come and be watching from a distance. Nothing to do one pass, turn around and then have to stop so as not to run over Kookas and Butcher birds that just aren't at all scared now.  Quite a few Lizzards around the place as well including a few 6Ft Monitors.

There are a number of Parrots and Lorikeets that will come to the back door and dad can almost hand feed.  One wild parrot even lets Dad scratch him.  This one was injured in the fires and hung around and Dad fed and gave him water. Seems to have a mate now who also hangs around but isn't as brave as this one with the human contact but you can walk a meter past it and it doesen't stop feeding.

It's pretty much a case of let them try and prosecute someone for clearing their land now. It would be political suicide to even question them. I have ordered Dad a stump grinder to go on the back of the Tractor  which hopefully should be here next week. He's a bit worried about the look of having unsightly  stumps sticking up everywhere and would need a D9 dozer to take out most of what he has.  Given up on the local tree guys.  Had them back 3 Times to do some grind some trees we dropped a couple of months back and despite marking the stumps and roots with Pink paint, we were still finding  things they missed today.

Once that comes I'll be back up there and dropping trees like no tomorrow. We are pushing the Bush back further and further from the house and buildings. A lot of what we are getting rid of are introduced species so they will go and open up the land with Water and nutrient for the native species that the wildlife need.

Not much point in owning 6 Chainsaws and not using them.  ;D

Actually in the center of the shed.
Been running it the last 4 days just to keep power up, today I had to fill tanks and run it again - just like winter, but it's ash falling, not snow.
we have 18,000 gallons of storage water that feeds 2 fire hydrants, important to have those full in fire season.
here's that same day pic of it working - see how there are no spokes in the flywheel !!

The comfort and reassurance that old Piece of kit would provide in a situation like that would be truly priceless let alone the practical advantages and Benefits.
