Welcome aboard Andrew079, in the meantime you could try the LR2 manual. My understanding is the LD is the predecessor to the LR, and very similar, if not identical engines.

Note that these are not Workshop manuals, but if you inquire they might havew those as well.

Very many thanks. I will look them up. In the meantime I ordered a 10thou oversized pistons from S and H. Slightly shocked at the price, but there we i go suppose. There is direction in the instruction book on the orientation of the barrels - straight fins towards flywheel and gears. Missed that first time round.
