Lister JP1. First start after complete rebuild
« on: June 12, 2020, 10:37:53 AM »
Hi
It's been a while but we finally got the old girl going again, everything  is new from the crankshaft up.
She'll be paired up once again with her reconditioned Startomatic 5 kVA generator and working for her living  providing back up charging for the battery bank on our off grid solar/wind powered farm.
Just have to patch a hole in the original fuel tank, connect up the water tank, clean out the cast iron silencer and she can move into her custom built shed, I made the slab 250 mm thick with double reo mesh, I reckon that was not over doing it because when she was running I could feel her thumping away with my feet from about 4 metres away.

Cheers all and thanks for the helpful advice.
