Camshaft removal help
« on: May 03, 2020, 11:21:56 PM »
Hi everybody, I am new on this forum and pleased to be here with a bunch of fellows Lister lovers! I am in North Queensland and also on Infopop Biodiesel forum (same name)
Please somebody help: I don't know how to pull my camshaft out. Everything is down, flywheel, front cover, oil pump, tappets and push rods out of the way. Just need to pull the shaft but the center bushing is the piece that resist. The top screw pin is also removed. Do I need to open the opposite cover and chase the shaft (or pull it from the front with a puller)? If it is so hard to pull how am I going to put it back? Nothing on Yootube, Utterpower does not talk about twin cylinders, I am in the dark. I won't touch it till I know exactly the method.
Engine: CS 20 2cyl Vidhata  Thanks for considering.

I got the answer: Definitely take off the other side camcover! Done .. Now that pin WILL NOT come off so I am about to drill it. On the single cylinder there is a single collar to do the same retaining job as the fuel pump cam on the twin.
