CS oil control ring
« on: May 04, 2020, 10:29:24 AM »
Hello members I have a small problem I managed to break my 5-1 oil control ring on reassembly, it was a 10thou oversize. I was thinking of using a spare std size oil control ring instead of buying a new set do you think it would work ok as I'm worried if I bought a new set I would break another and waste £30+. I was thinking a small gap wouldn't harm the compression as its slotted anyhow. What are your thoughts please?  Regards, Mick.

Hello Mickye. The oversized oil control ring is available separately. In the drop down menu where it says type there is an option to select the scraper ring only for £8.

Well I never! Thanks for that broncodriver99 i've looked on there plenty of times and didn't notice that single ring listed. Now I can get back to it and order one straight away. Thanks for your help.
