Listeroid Metro 6/1 TRB bearing.. Replace or run..
« on: December 01, 2019, 12:20:22 PM »
Hi

Not sure if these bearings can be run in this condition, all the research I could come up with seems to point to that these bearings seldom fail.

 Run or replace.... Thanks..

Looks to me your bearing was installed with an improper preload

Thanks for the reply..

Could be, the crank would not rotate heavy side down without help. The piston, idler gear disconnected with the flywheels off.

Check:

 1.  Bearing preload.....
2.   Then crank runout....

Metro 6/1 turning a ST 7.5 KW gen head
Changfa 1115 turning a ST 15 KW gen head
Ashwamegh 2/25
John Deere 110 TBL
New Holland TC 30

Those bearings are ruined and need to be replaced.

Should be some numbers embossed into the bearing parts, use those numbers to cross over to a known manufacture with a well earned reputation for quality.
