carburetor
« on: November 07, 2019, 10:13:30 AM »
I have just bought a lister A16 (made in Landen Belgium) with a carburetor Amal A186 (?).
This carburetor has no floating chamber. When I bought he started and also once ad home.
But after two days I can not get him alive.
Had someone an advice ?

thank you

G'day and welcome to the Forum.
How would the engine run without a float bowl? OR did you mean that it fired up a couple of times?
Things to try and check;
How is the compression
Clean and gap your spark plug and points and test for spark before putting the plug back in the head.
Find a carby that is complete and use fresh fuel to try a start up.
If you know where your timing marks are check them.
Let us know how you get on.

Your welcome. I also replied to your other thread. Might be best for everyone to keep it all in one thread then it becomes a flowing story and easier to follow. Others will step in too with ideas and help just be patient and keep asking questions and replies will come. Good luck with your project.
