Jp cylinder liners
« on: April 13, 2019, 09:41:52 AM »
Hi all anyone know the difference in liners from a cs and a jp
I can get cs liners. But not had any luck getting some for the jp . It's getting cleaner .. have the heads off . The liners might go again . There is lots of carbon . So much the valves are not seating . The ports are full .. not sure why . Time will tell

Probably, unless there are bloody great ring-catching holes at the top, and unless you put new top rings in - and even then - the liners are probably still useable IMHO

The CS did not have liners as produced. They are an India modification that requires an Indian  cylinder block to use them and they do not interchange  with the OEM JP liner.

New old stock JP liners are available here.

See the SKU part number they are using JP-10-2-247NG

The NG indicates Non Genuine, ie Indian in origin.

Having seen that style of packaging in my travels. Upon casual inspection the packaging their supplier is using (assuming it will be as per the photograph) looks very similar to the old Hawker Siddley era packaging.

I don't think they are plated . So I assume that there are different rings to go with them. Something to look into ... Hard bore soft rings. Soft bore hard rings .. thanks to all .

Thanks for that correction Kevin. I did indeed look at the packaging and assumed old stock.
