Still some brackets missing, found they were on the fuel tank. Was the first run in the new location.

Wow!  Did you re-balance this engine or is this just the incredible superiority of the original Lister?

Thanks for all the nice replies, its missing some brackets so when I speed it up the air casing is resonating and touching the flywheel. Brackets were welded to the fueltank support still need to mount them.
When you speed it up it does start to 'walk" a bit. It's an 8/1 with alluminium piston maybe that helps to keep it more ballanced. I have a 6/1 som thats really not as ballanced as this.

Greetings Bernhard

A little ''walk'' or front to back movement means it's slightly overbalanced...which gives you the least vertical movement and is often the best compromise.

Hi Everyone

BruceM, good tip, that's why it's worth being in this forum! Many years of experience!

As Butch says, something has to stay here (in the forum) for the future (generation) ... that no one knows how it will be...

Havea shiny day

Very nice! Like those VA engines. Pity they are very hard to come by... wonder why they were not as popular as the water cooled engines?
