The VA was produced only for a short time as compared to the CS and (I was told) cost more. They also were slightly less fuel efficient due to the power required to blow air and having no control of the operating temperature. They were much more popular in certain areas of the world than others. Here in the states it is not terribly difficult to find one, I have one sitting in line to go through the shop one day.
