The Dane's version of socialism does a lot of things very well, but they come down hard on excessive alcohol use; quotas of so many bottles per month, etc. I have a Danish friend who tells me all about it. Like all the cold, dark winter northern climes, alcoholism is a big problem. They are a fairly practical country so perhaps their program really does help. Their higher education system is astounding... all totally paid for, academic or trade, including modest stipend, and you can go back to school as an adult. (Along with an impressive universal healthcare system.) What a stress load off parents that must be.
