That won't work you must use the orginal URL address of the image if you scanned it you must upload it to coppermine or a similar site.

Clifford,

Did you scan a page from a paper copy of Newsweek and paste that to your desktop, or is the picture from somewhere on the web?

Ok, so you scanned it from a paper copy of the magazine.  That's why it didn't work.  Pasting the URL only works if the image is on another website that the software can go out and copy the picture from.  A scanned image on your desktop won't work.  Sorry, I didn't know that's what you were doing.  You can still go the coppermine route.  Just register with them and upload from your desktop to coppermine.  Then it WILL work!

....and now that you've got everybody's curiosity way up..... ;D ;D

Email it to me and I'll post it, if you like.

Anybody else want to try.  NOTHING works for me.  Coppermine has a 1006 script error every time and four other sites don't work.

( I HATE it when that happens!)  Ok, I thought it was just 'cause I already had used up my memory allocation . . .

Hmmm . . . tried to delete a pic to free up space and got the following very helpful message:

" Directory 'albums/userpics/10003/' is not writable, files can't be deleted"

So it appears something's FUBAR (that's a highly technical NAVY term, if I'm not mistaken).

Take heart, Clifford, me bucko, IT'S NOT YER FAULT!   ;D

Yeah, Jack, you SHOULD be interested.

When Clifford finally gets that pic posted, you'll be able to see where you can find a real-live genuine Limey-Green Lister 6/1.

I've GOT the picture.  I  get a message like--
Destination directory albums/userpics/10006/ is not writable by the script !

Actually that's a copy and paste of the dang thing.  I went so far as to create another album, hotater II, to post to but get the same error.  Signing out and back in dont' work.
