can any one tell me which models of listers are hit and miss?

To my knowledge... none. But I am not expert on the very early Petrol versions, I only know the diesels well.

The Rajkot Listeroids are famous for being hit and miss. ;)

Probably referring to Indian quality control..........
I've joined "the dark side"....if it has a spark plug, it's obsolete technology.

None of them - although, as others have said, some of them sound like they might be hit & miss...

Lister always put throttles on their petrol/paraffin/TVO engines, and racks on their diesel engines. They also never made a semi-diesel.
