I agree on the clearances in relation to non pressurised lubrication systems, if I end up making a new shaft and bush then I'll try the EN36, it's the same solution employed in traction engine valve gear and is subject to very poor lubrication but lasts well.
I'm new to this forum so here comes the dull question, wall of knowledge? Don't ungerstand the offset but either so would love to see the post.
Cheers
Steve

It was my understanding (and assumption), that these are OEM Lister units.
I believe that very few OEM parts remain available as of now.
The Indian replacements are mostly of adequate quality given a little extra preparation and inspection during the installation process.

Wear and tear conditions in a high-hour engine look quite similar to me in trying to compare original vs replacements. Idler gears are one of the points where original parts appear to be quite similar in stresses and failure points.

Got it! WOK, I thought it was the page for Chinese recipes!
If the OEM question is to me then yes, all four are original Listers.
I've managed to pick up a new original barrel and cast piston and have also managed to get my hands on a new aluminium piston so that should solve the cylinder wear problems on the 8/1. This is getting a little addictive.
