You hear about the insomniac agnostic dyslexic?

He couldn't get to sleep all night wondering if there really was a dog!

my terrible secret is similar, I have a real job reading a vernier, draw a number of short strokes like IIIIIIIIIII anything more than 3 and I can't count them without using a pointer and counting aloud, and anything with a serial number, always got someone else to read that off while I wrote it down to order the correct part.

Guy--

I have a similar disablitity (?).   Mechanical drawings are 3D to me and I 'see' the part in all dimensions.  Electrical drawings (and city maps) are just a stack of overlapping squares and rectangles and will make me puke if I stare at them too long.
If you read a string of numbers don't expect me to remember anything but the first digit UNLESS the number actually 'means' something.  A measurement will be remembered forever, a phone number never.
7200 hrs on 6-1/5Kw, FuKing Listeroid,
Currently running PS-Kit 6-1/5Kw...and some MPs and Chanfas and diesel snowplows and trucks and stuff.

Could be worse

I can't properly wire from a print unless its written on a cocktail napkin or the back of the cigarett package. And it has ti change several times while I'm working....
