Years of Manufacture, Lister Petter AC1 engine

Anybody know the approximate years of manufacture of the Lister Petter AC1 engine?

They were manufactured from 1970 to 1985 ( 50% chance I'm wrong ).

There are all kinds of wierd varriants and series  types AC1R and AC1ZS ( don't know what these are just have numbers and series ). Petter would start and stop producing an engine, change the series retool and pick up where the serial numbers stopped. Sort of an evolution of design...

Am I correct in assuming that the AC1 engine was made by Petter first, then the merger with Lister occurred?  Perhaps the later models were the Lister Petters and the earlier ones Petters?

Could be I just happen to see it on a list from L/P at Norther diesel. They have an awfuly poor track record when it comes to parts and manuals on legacy engines. Even ones like the 8/1 that was manufactured into the 80s.

I've just found that the Lister Petter AC1 engine was made only in 1985.  The AC1W engine, it's precursor, was a water cooled engine made from 1970-85.
