I have often thought about something like air Injection for petrol motors. Something like a forced carburettor I spose one would say.
Of course if it had any merit, It would have already been done.
This very unique bit of history dosen't seem to look quite right in what appears just to be some shed somewhere. I think it should be in a museum somewhere people can come and admire it. Better still if they could find the missing parts and getting running again.
Everything about machinery like that makes me marvel. Not only were things designed to be functional, they were done to look good as well. Even the castings of the engine itself are done with an effort to please the eye and the details from there even more so. The makers proudly put cast or stamped brass plates on their engines and things were often painted with scroll and detail work as against now where you are lucky to get a crappy sticker on a cheap bit of coloured plastic.
Quality on par with yesterdays standards can't even be bought as luxury anymore. They just don't have the knowledge let alone ability to manufacture to those sort of level now days.
