I wonder if he'll ever save enough fuel by what he learned to pay for what he used learning it...

Interesting confirmation of what's been known a LONG time.

I one time used as a defense to blowing up yet *another* Sherriff's patrol car engine, that I didn't drive any different than the other deputies.   The chief deputy handed me the milage and fuel reports for everyone on my shift.....I didn't get good fuel milage at all!!! ::)
....but the BEST milage of the bunch was 20% below 'normal' in the early '70s.
7200 hrs on 6-1/5Kw, FuKing Listeroid,
Currently running PS-Kit 6-1/5Kw...and some MPs and Chanfas and diesel snowplows and trucks and stuff.

The guys at work make fun of me for driving a little below the speed limmit here (90 kph - 55mph). My reasoning was its pointless to speed to I can get to the coffee shop 2 minuts before everyone else. I must admit once I get to work my driving habbits change when I don't pay for fuel or own the machine....
