Well, as it turns out... Bob Riley was a visionary. All of his equipment was kept in climate controlled dry storage - a little dust here and there, but ZERO condensation or any kind of corrosion on anything! That is remarkable. Further remarkable that he knew in 1978 to stockpile a few of these.
None of those engines were purchased to go back overseas... $5,550 was the lowest priced unit and $9,200 the highest (buyers premium added in). Just about where one might expect for a rarity of this magnitude. 4-days trip costs and hauling back to the Kansas warehouse... I guess I've pretty much had my fun for the year! Rear differential in the truck fried on the way back... limped it home though, smoking and growling and spitting gear oil.
