Hi Dieselgman,

It was a great project but I agree with you, however sad it is, breaking the engine for parts is probably the route I'll go.

But once it's stripped down the crankcase and flywheel are destined to end up at the knackers yard.

Thats it?
Just one video of it running?

*sniff* *sniff* how can a compression ignition junkie get his fix with JUST one video? :'(

You know, there is a HUGE vacuum of Lister FR video's on the internets... ;D

I own just one FR model - a single cylinder. I am just too busy these days with other projects to actually do anything with it. It does represent an interesting evolution of the Lister product line.

Hi westcoaster

There are two videos of this engine running the first is before the clutch was fitted………

'Reg Burn's Lister FR4'
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ni8kWY2L66s

……..and the second is a completed project………

'Reg Burn's FR is 4 Sale'
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdT1hpqw1xE

If I get the chance this weekend I'll make and post another video of a cold start-up, this time I will include shots of the rockers, pumps and any other details that come to mind. I'll post here at ListerEngineForum when the video is online.

And to help fill the FR video void would you like to see my tank-cooled FR2 running a 3kva generator via a home-made wooden pulley? (NOT FOR SALE)

or my 1940 CS6?

Reg

Haha!
I'll take all you got (or are willing to take)

Home made wood pulley sounds intriguing :)
