fly wheel numbers
« on: July 09, 2014, 08:48:35 AM »
hi all
my question is this, on my cs 5/1 fly wheels i have an extra number under the original engine number like this cs50103 which i reckon is 1945
                                                                                                                                                                   1
is this  1  a number that tells you which side to put the fly wheel on after balanceing so they knew which side to put the fly on

I have seen the flywheels numbered 1 and 2 to identify installation position... the gib keys are also numbered 1 and 2 to match up the parts. This would indicate to me that they may have been individually fitted from the factory and intended to remain matched up.
