Ebay RBH31 turbo, A.K.A. the worlds smallest turbo charger...
« on: February 02, 2014, 08:21:40 AM »
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MOTORCYCLE-QUAD-RHINO-Turbo-BIKE-SEADOO-Small-IHI-RHB31-/181300899111?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a36602d27&vxp=mtr

a paper napkin calculation of the flow mass of that turbo put it in the ballpark for the 6/1 and 12/2 engine.

This sounds interesting. Has anyone here put a turbo on a CS before?

A friend of mine has a very nice working installation on an 18/1. Running 750 rpm... I think he said he was getting 6 psi boost.

I will have to ask him about that turbo model again as I cannot remember at the moment. I believe he did purchase that unit online from commonly available stocks though.

Have you seen it running and if so does the turbine quieten/soften the exhaust thump significantly ?

Mark.

Yes, I have heard this one running but do not have a direct comparison regarding exhaust noise... For a larger displacement machine running at 750rpm, I would judge it to be on the quiet side.
