Deutz MAH 914

Anyone ever had dealings with these great horizontals ? I see a couple showing on you tube but only 2 with an injector change over valve in the high pressure injector line as we had. Being in the tropics we never used those little explosive wicks but started on the side injector and as soon as it was going switched to the top injector. I overhauled it in about 1985 and all the parts were available from Deutz. With the evaporation tank being all around the liner in the bottom the hot water would circulate naturally and it used to gently steam away all day. Our two were connected to winches on the deck of a 1955 built Dutch coaster and ran beautifully.
Owned; Lister ST1, ST2, JP4, LD1 & 2x Blackstone ERS8. Petter AA1, AC2 and still up for it !!!

Deutz MAH are not very common in the States

There is a very similar, still in production, Polish horizontal, Andrychow or Andoria S320.  The Polish engine was sold through out former communist block countries and their client states.  They were so numerous parts are available from India and there is even an Indian clone called Hindory Diesel.
