The Ebay acronym for "Stuffed" is " Not tested".

I was looking at something before Christmas on Fleabay where the seller insisted it was in great condition and was working perfectly last time it was used.
He hadn't tested it though so gave no guarantees.  The fact that it was a small appliance that "Testing" it would have required no more than plugging the thing in and seeing if it worked was just a little sus to me. But I'm just the negative type.  ;D

My favourites are people who insist things are in " Great Condition" except for needing major repairs.
" This car is in fantastic condition and worth much more than I'm selling it for once the engine and transmission are rebuilt".
Yeah, aside from requiring repairs worth more than the thing is worth even when it's finished, the thing is perfect!  ::)

The other ones that amuse me are the people that seem to think things that require lots of repair or refurbishment "That would make a great PROJECT" are actually worth more than the same item in running, serviceable condition that needs no time or money spent on it.

The twit that came into the wrecking yard the other week was a prize winner.  Was looking for a used engine for his 18yo vehicle and kept asking if the cars they came out of had up to date log books?
When we convinced him that we got the cars from auction and if they did have them, they were generally only filled in the first few years, he asked not once but of 3 different engines if we knew how often the oil had been changed in them and what brand and type of oil was used?

I can't repeat what my 75 year old father asked the guy as to his mental state and IQ.

Some folks are soooooooo picky.

When someone asks me a stupid question twice I come back with "What kind of oil did you want to have been used in the engine? or "How often would you like to have had the oil changed?"  I'm thinking some of you know how this scenario goes.  I first heard it from a "previously owned transportation facilitator" - "If it were that color in the morning lady would you buy it then?  "And No, we're required to return the log books to the manufacture by law!"

It has two bids and rests at $531.

There was an engine on fleabay here about 6 months ago. From memory it was an upside down Taynge engine.  Well what was still there and hadn't rusted into oblivion anyways.

It got $88,000. I showed the auction to a mate and he was so convinced it was a setup, he messaged the seller. The guy said yes, it was for real and the buyer had already transferred the money and he had numerous offers from people before the auction ended in the 80K + bracket.
Apparently the engine, along with some others, was left on this property the guy had bought.  With the sale of that engine and the others he had moved so far, he had repaid almost 70% of the cost of the land.

Now That's what I call a Good Investment Property!
