Caterpillar 1Y73 Fuel Reasearch Engine
« on: July 27, 2013, 04:52:14 PM »
The 1Y73 that we took to Nuenen in the first year we went has been on long-term loan to the Anson Museum, but they are now revising their layout and want to return it to us.

This is how it looked:

The dynamometer is a Heenan & Froude DX3 by memory and is not hooked up to the engine. It was overhauled by the Uni it came from before we bought it.

The engine is not running as yet, but was fully overhauled before being put into storage from whence it came to us.

It is at present at the Anson Museum near Manchester.

We are looking to sell at £1750 for the whole set-up as in the picture, engine, trolley and Dyno.

I've removed the engine advert from the Forum.

Too much excitement about the fact that it didn't have a price, despite the fact that it was available in a variety of formats.

Live and learn....
