MeccAlte is a widely used generator head all around the world. In my opinion they are not quite up to the same design and quality standards as Marathon and Stamford, but they are considerably better than the common Chinese copy-cats and I think they would rank about third in the world for overall ratings of quality and serviceability. I have seen these widely used in the less expensive standby power plants. This is not to say that many of the other smaller players have not made much better heads, but in terms of wide distribution and support and also parent company stability/longevity - this company and its product line stands pretty tall.
