Lister plant #2242
« on: July 08, 2013, 12:31:32 AM »
I have a Lister Bruston 110 volt DC gen set. The engine number is 47240 (1925 thanks to this forum) and the plant number is 2242.

I believe a grandfather of mine purchased this new for the company. We are just days away from getting it running again and I am looking for any more information I can get. A wireing diagram that includes the batterie connections would be great. When we put 24 volts (being cautious) to the system the solenoids activated  and the bulbs on the panel lit. Also the generator turned over the engine.

The plant we have is almost identical to the one pictured on the cover of Gas Engine Magazine March of 2001,that was owned by Gus Simms of PA.

Does anyone know how many of this type of plant were produced? or are there any others running in this country?

Part of this post is a repost that I put up in a different section of this forum. I am still learning my way around and apologize for the duplication!

Thanks to any and all that can shed some light!
