I just knew that EPA would catch up with him one of these days!
Maybe he will find a good following in the Philippines.

He should ask Art Bell how the Philippines worked out for him.

Could these engines be set up and imported as air compressors and later be converted to engines with "acme" injection kit.?? Frank C.

Seven years on this site and this is the first thing I've heard about a US built Lister like unit.

I wonder if reclassifying them as soy bean oil engines rather than diesel would make any difference?  Or just follow the Pickens Plan with CNG.

Not really any such thing... 90% reworked Indian stuff as far as I am able to discern. Lots of ideas and quite a bit of "out of the box" thinking going on there.

I don't know but I know you wouldn't want to pay his price! ;-)

At one time he wanted $10k for one if his 6/1s.

I would concur with that - assuming that most everything is based on Indian parts without a huge amount of re-work.

10 grand would not be excessive if we were talking about a quality-built American (or British) product. However, there are a lot of very good small engine alternatives at less than half that price. I do not know of any in current production that are as rugged and versatile as the old Listers though.

No arguments here... I believe it has been quite some time since we truly had an American product built with integrity, pride and quality.  :(

If Witte were still in operation, we might not be messing about with quite so much of the British iron.

Are the Arrow oilfield engines still made in USA?
