primer???
« on: April 19, 2013, 08:20:19 PM »
So I have the engine running pretty good.  I still need a new starter, but managed to figure out that the old one CAN be used for now.  One thing i am wondering is if there should be some sort of primer on the fuel tank?  the origional tank is not on the motor, and the guy i bought the boat from used a regular gasoline tank with an on/off fuel supply at the bottom, and just soem clear pvc line that goes into the fuel pump.  I am noticing that it takes the motor a little while to really get going good.  Could I possibly have some sort of priming bulb put inline to push fuel into the motor?  also, there are some air bubbles in the fuel line as well...would that relieve that issue?

The SR2 will operate fine with no primer as long as there is either gravity feed or pump fed fuel into the injection pumps. You will need to eliminate the air leaks allowing any air bubbles into the system. The injection pumps will not move air!
