LOW POWER OFF GENERATOR
« on: April 08, 2013, 07:10:34 PM »
Hi I am a new member and was very impressed with the knowledge within the members.
This I hope will help me sort my problems, I will say at the start I am not generator literate.I have purchased a portable Gen Set engine plate number 1356ST 127-20 no other info on plate but there is some small letters/numbers on the barrel 20T 111707   HDA the engine runs fine. The Genny has a plate that reads KNYLOR, PORTABLE GENERATOR. model 60L        serial no GLF9764
                   volts 110/220    ph         1
                  amps  52/220     hz          50
                   rpm  3000
KNIGHT TAYLOR of LONDON.
The problems I have are max amps are only 8, the GENNY has a cast aluminium case that I haven't managed to open as yet, the bolts are free but I can't get the case to split to see inside any more force will result in damage, any help or advice would be most welcome.
Thank you for reading. Regards Eric

Eric, if you stick a photo or 2 on and  what voltage its putting out at 8 Amps then someone may know what to tell you about it.  Make sure the engine is running at 3000 rpm for starters.

Mark.
